In order to use our services with peace of mind

The environment in the aircraft in flight is different from the ground. Passengers with leg disabilities, blind or hearing disabilities, or passengers conducting medical care on board should let us know in advance what kind of assistance they need. In addition, if you perform medical care on board, please consult your doctor in advance. Please note that seats near emergency exits are not available for safety reasons.

  • For passengers with leg disabilities (wheelchairs)

    We will assist you when you go up and down stairs or travel on board.

    Please let us know the status of your walk at the time of booking.

    • ・You can walk alone, but you can't go up and down stairs
    • ・You can go up and down stairs, but you can't walk long distances

    Wheelchairs are available at the airport.

    • Your wheelchair will be checked in as baggage.

    For customers who cannot walk alone

    Must be accompanied by an attendant. When boarding, we also have a dedicated wheelchair that allows you to board with a wheelchair next to the cabin seat.

    About wheelchairs with gas springs

    Wheelchairs with gas springs are filled with high-pressure gas, so they are dangerous goods in air transportation and may not be accepted. Wheelchairs with dangerous goods exclusion labels issued by the Japan Wheelchair Seating Association can be checked in.

    About Passenger Boarding Slope (PBS)

    ORC has introduced the Passenger Boarding Slope (PBS) and Passenger Boarding Lift (PBL), which allow wheelchair users to board and disembark with their wheelchairs at the airport.However, the PBS and PBL may not be used in some cases due to inclement weather or other reasons.

  • For customers with blindness or hearing (about guide dogs)

    Wheelchairs are available at the airport.

    • ・Guide dogs, hearing dogs, and service dogs can be taken on board free of charge. Please let us know at the time of booking.
    • ・We will consider the seat so that you can use it comfortably on board. Please let us know at the time of booking.
  • For passengers who perform medical care on board (about oxygen cylinders)
    • ・Passengers who require oxygen inhalation or use of medical equipment on board must be accompanied by a doctor or nurse as a general rule, a medical document is required.
    • ・The medical certificate must be issued within 14 days, including the scheduled boarding date, and must clearly state that "air travel is not possible."
    • ・Reservations must be made at least 2 days (48 hours) prior to boarding.
    • ・ When using oxygen cylinders on board, it is necessary to check the specifications of the cylinder.
    • ・If you are arranging an ambulance, please let us know in advance.
    • ・Please print out the medical card from the following and bring it on the day, or fill in the one provided at the airport and submit it at the check-in counter at the airport.
  • Use of stretcher (cot)

    Stretchers (in-flight cots) are available for passengers who are comfortable in the aircraft seats. The stretcher is a simple-bed type like a stretcher, and you will always lie on your back, including during takeoff and landing, and board with your body fixed with a belt.

  • About discounts for people with disabilities
    • ・It applies to persons with physical disabilities who are over age of 12 and have received a physically handicapped person's handbook, war wounded and sick persons who have received a war wounded person's notebook, intellectually handicapped persons who have received a medical care handbook, type 1 and type 2 physically handicapped persons, and mentally handicapped persons who have received the mentally handicapped person health and welfare handbook.
    • ・ It is applicable to the person described above and a caregiver (1 person) who has nursing care ability. Caregivers are required to board the same flight as the person with a disability.
    • ・Passengers who apply for discount fares for persons with disabilities are required to present a physically handicapped person's notebook, a war wounded person's notebook, a medical care handbook, or a mentally handicapped person's health and welfare handbook at the time of ticket purchase and boarding.

Passengers with infants (8 days old to under 3 years old)

  • ・Must be accompanied by an adult (ages over 12).
  • ・There is a limit on the number of infants on board. Please let us know at the time of booking and at the time of ticket purchase.
  • ・Up to 2 children under the age less than 3 can be accommodated per adult. However, one of the children will be seated next to the child and will be charged a child fare.
  • ・If an infant is seated, a child seat is required. (If the child is the ages over 2, it is also possible to sit on your own without a child seat.)
  • ・Emergency exit seats cannot be selected for safety reasons.

Pregnant passengers

When traveling by plane, there is something that you can prepare in advance if it is near the due date (within 28 days) because the body may be burdened due to changes in atmospheric pressure.

Those who are 28 to 8 days before including the due date

  • ・A medical document is required.

Those who are within 7 days before including the due date

  • ・Medical documents and accompanying a doctor are required.
  • ・The medical certificate must be issued within 7 days, including the scheduled boarding date, and must clearly state that "air travel is possible"
  • ・ Please print out the "Medical Card" from the following and bring it on the day or fill in the one provided at the airport and submit it at the check-in counter at the airport.
  • ・ Only one infant can be accompanied within 28 days of the expected birth date. In this case, it is necessary to purchase a child fare for children and sit alone using a child seat. (If the child is 2 years old, it is also possible to sit on your own without a child seat.)
  • ・ Emergency exit seats cannot be selected for safety reasons.

Traveling alone of children

  • ・Children who do not have an attendant can board from the ages over 6. (Up to the ages upon 11 is available)
  • ・Children over the ages over 6 to 8 must have a see-off or meet-and-greet for both departure and arrival airports.
  • ・At the time of check-in, it is necessary to submit a consent form from the see-off person.
  • ・Consent form can also be downloaded at the airport reception counter or in advance.
  • ・Please come to the airport counter 30 minutes before the departure time.
  • ・Emergency exit seats cannot be selected for safety reasons.

Customers who are sick or hurt

  • Due to the Act on Prevention of Infectious Diseases and Medical Care for Patients with Infectious Diseases, in principle, passengers with one, two, three class infectious diseases, infectious diseases such as new influenza, new infectious diseases, and other serious acute infections that may be transmitted to other passengers by air boarding are not allowed to board.
